My son was diagnosed with convergence insufficiency when he was 5 (by both an optometrist and an ophthalmologist). I purchased a vision therapy software game / program from HTS (Home Therapy Solutions). It came with 3D glasses. DS used it for nearly a year and per both eye doctors he no longer has CI. That is the good news. Bad news is (now 11 years old) he has visual spatial processing problems. We're working on that!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear all went so well. Always use something like the HTS program under the care of a doctor....you need someone to follow you while you are doing the therapy. As far as visual spatial problems...there are programs for that too. Check with your doc or go to http://www.covd.org to find a doc to help.
